Circle 9 Publishing / Art Sales

At this time Circle 9 Publishing is selling selected pieces. As of now, the smaller editions of Ghosts and The River of Time are available. They are permanently mounted on 1/16" aluminum using a pressure sensitive film adhesive. The front of the print is then protected by a UV-blocking, optically clear, vinyl based laminate that is permanently adhered (for a matte finish). A recessed back frame made from Poplar wood is 1 1/2" deep and 2 1/2" recessed from the edge of the print giving it the appearance of floating from the wall.

The 46" x 12" version of Ghosts is limited to an edition of 20, and is selling for $750.

The 42" x 12" version of The River of Time is limited to an edition of 20, and is selling for $750.

A Storm of Light - New Track Posted: New Release Announcement

Brooklyn's A Storm of Light have posted the new track "Midnight" from their upcoming Double LP/CD full-length effort, entitled Forgive Us Our Trespasses. The album finds its power through a dense bringing together of melodies, moods and textures, ensuring that while things are as heavy and cataclysmic as fans would expect, the devastating effects rely on interwoven melodies and graceful shifts in timbre, instead of a stream of identikit riffs.

The song can be found exclusively on A Storm of Light's myspace page, and their official website, astormoflight.com

Comprised of Josh Graham, Domenic Seita, Andy Rice and Joel Hamilton – Storm is joined by a host of carefully-chosen collaborators including vocalist Nerissa Campbell (Primitive North), the unique talents of Jarboe (Swans, World Of Skin, J2), the otherworldly spoken word segues of singer, poet and author Lydia Lunch and the mournful strings of Carla Kihlstedt (Book Of Knots, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, 2 Foot Yard) and Marika Hughes (2 Foot Yard).

Forgive Us Our Trespasses will see a street date in September 2009 through Neurot Recordings, distributed by Revolver USA and Southern in Europe.

Forgive Us our Trespasses

As of last week, A Storm of Light has begun recording the second full length entitled Forgive Us Our Trespasses. The recording will be finished April 1 and will be released by Neurot Recordings on CD/DLP in the fall of 2009. The album moves forward with Storm's sound, more emphasis on vocals and dynamics, while still keeping the heaviness intact.

The album will feature several collaborations with musicians including Jarboe (swans), Nerissa Campbell (as heard on the Primitive North release), Lydia Lunch, and of course Joel Hamilton (book of knots, battle of mice). Joel is not only recording this release, but it also playing on it as well. We are recording at Strangeweather and Studio G, both located in Brooklyn. Look for new songs posted in April or May. Storm will be playing some of new material live on the upcoming European tour.

Cheers
Storm
